Re-surfacing the deck: the final results
Well it took a bit longer than expected but it’s finally done. A few weekends of bad weather plus 2 kids and a wife who is never home meant I had a few 30 minute pockets of time spread out over a few weeks and 1 actual full day.
Enough with the chat, here ’s the results:
BEFORE
AFTER
All totalled I managed to finish it all with a total of about $350 for wood, stain, metal stringers, power washer rental and hardware. Since I was able to build up the foundation, the deck is only 1 foot off the ground so there is no need for railings, although I’ll probably put them in next year anyway. Not bad for my first outdoor project, looks sooo much better!
